We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef with a strong background in events catering and banquet services. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will assist the Sous Chef in the overall culinary operations, with a particular focus on events, catering, and banquets. Your expertise and creativity in menu planning, costing, food preparation, and presentation will contribute to the success of our catering events and banquets.

**Responsibilities**:
**Menu Planning**: Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to create innovative and appealing menus for events and banquets, considering client preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal ingredients.

**Food Preparation and Cooking**: Execute food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and cooking various ingredients to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of dishes. Maintain consistency and quality standards in all food items.

**Presentation and Plating**: Work closely with the culinary team to ensure that all dishes are visually appealing and presented according to established standards.

**Event Coordination**:Assist in coordinating and executing the catering events and banquets, including ensuring the timely setup of stations, maintaining food quality throughout service, and supervising kitchen staff during events.

**Quality Control**: Conduct regular inspections of food items, supplies, and equipment to ensure adherence to hygiene and safety standards. Report any issues or concerns to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.

**Inventory Management**: Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of food items, supplies, and equipment required for events and banquets. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.

**Team Management and Training**: Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff, ensuring their adherence to food safety protocols, efficient work practices, and maintaining a positive work environment.

**Adherence to Regulations**: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and sanitation standards in all aspects of food preparation and service.

**Collaboration**: Foster effective communication and collaboration with the culinary team, waitstaff, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination during events and banquets.

**Qualifications**:
**Culinary Expertise**: Proven experience working as a Junior Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume events catering and banquet environment.

**Event Catering Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of the demands and intricacies of events catering, including menu planning, execution, and coordination.

**Culinary Techniques**: Possess a strong culinary background with experience in preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes. Knowledge of different cooking techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation is essential. With a minimum of three to five ( 3-5 ) years of overall professional experience in Kitchen department in a five star hotel, convention centre or restaurant.

**Creativity and Attention to Detail**: Ability to create innovative menus while paying close attention to detail in food presentation and plating.

**Time Management**: Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure the efficient execution of multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

**Leadership Skills**: Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate a team of kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

**Communication Skills**: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and other departments during events.

**Flexibility**: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the events and banquet schedule.

**Food Safety and Hygiene**: Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.

**Salary**: QAR5,000.00 - QAR7,000.00 per month
