Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

**Asst. Talent & Culture Director**

Reports under the supervision of the Director of Talent & Culture to contribute to the performance of the T&C Department in hiring and retention of exceptional talents as well as driving T&C processes, engagement, learning & development, and compliance initiatives.

**What you will be doing**:

- Foster a positive and structured work environment that encourages the successful operation of the business, calling upon the necessary processes to deal with disciplinary, grievance, and workforce change situations.
- Work alongside the function leaders to investigate, document and administer corrective action immediately and effectively to reach the mutual goals of the business and the Heartist in keeping with the company policy and local labor law.
- Be the champion of the processes to ensure that the leaders understand their role in the process as well as the fair treatment of the Heartists.
- Supports the Director of Talent & Culture in maintaining Accor standards, policies, and procedures.
- Strive to increase Heartist engagement by promoting a positive work environment where each Heartist is informed and proactive about the overall business goals. Ensure the consistent delivery of business and Heartist information with transparency so that each Heartist understands how they contribute to the company’s success.
- Talent & Culture Audit.
- Development of direct reports to give them ongoing feedback and development.
- Ensure bi-annual Talent Review process is conducted and associated documentation maintained to the required standard.

**Your experience and skills include**:

- Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or beyond, most likely within a business or human resources management-related discipline, or experience equivalent
- Prior experience as a Department Head in a large, fast-paced organization
- Fluency in verbal and written English is essential - an additional language e.g. Arabic would be an advantage
- Ideally CIPD qualified to level 7
- 5 years prior experience as an Asst. Director Talent & Culture in a luxury hotel or Resort
- Must be a highly capable user of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Previous working experience in a truly global work environment is essential
