**About the Position**:
**Main Duties**:

- Publishing in highly ranked internationalacademic journals and business outlets;
- Designing and conducting analytics and datascience projects and communicating findings to key stakeholders across thebusiness;
- Developing and operating automated dataanalytics and machine learning services will be favorable;
- Developing and delivering research project incooperation with CBE faculty and other colleges inside Qatar University;
- Conducting research projects with externalpartners in the industry as well as scholars from internationally recognizeduniversities;
- Providing guidance and support to helpresearchers identify, maximize, and convey the impact of their research andenterprise projects;
- Making an impactful, high quality contributionto practices through internal and external publications;
- Developing, designing, and delivering teachingand student-centered learning in business analytics and/or financial technologyfor undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- Supervising MBA and PhD students;
- Contributing to various activities andadministrative assignments in the center and the college;
- Serving the community inside and outside QatarUniversity;
- Provide specialist expertise, consultancy, andtraining to the community at large.

**Qualifications**:

- A doctorate degree in any business analyticsand/or Fintech or any related discipline from an accredited university;
- A proven record of receiving extensive trainingon data analytics and/or Fintech in well-known programs;
- Professional certificate data analytics, Fintech,big data, AI, or any related discipline is an advantage.

**Experience**:

- Distinguished record of published research of international quality;
- Experience in working with industries and providing consulting service in business analytics and/or Fintech;
- Experience in getting research grants will be favorable;
- A proven record of teaching experience;
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning;
- Statistical analysis and/or machine learning and/or data engineering, drawing on a range of simple and advanced methods and techniques in line with best practice;
- Systematic investigation and experimentation;
- Translation of business problems and opportunities into data science problems and solutions;
- Communicating technical information clearly to specialists and non-specialists;
- Capability to develop research proposals and external funding bids, design and lead research projects and programs, and build effective research teams, while ensuring their effective management and delivery of expected outcomes;
- Experience of building networks nationally and internationally, both within and across disciplines, to drive research excellence and impact;
- Proven track record of innovative teaching and research within the specialism, for example new and emerging technologies or trends in finance such as blockchain, cryptocurrencies, peer-to-peer lending, roboadvising, the role of AI in financial services, or regulation of technology.
