**About the role**

Responsible for managing the Flight Dispatch and Flight Watch operational activities by leading and directing a team of technical experts, Taking accountability and ownership of the QR Flight Dispatch function and all operational decisions made pertaining to safe and efficient flight. Ensures that the Flight Dispatch and Flight Watch operates according to QCAA and global regulatory safety compliances. The role will act as a technical specialist providing specific support to IOC operational staff and respective stakeholders during operational events.

Job responsibilities include:

- Manage QRs global Flight Dispatch (pre tactical) and mission support (tactical) Operations for all QR flights.
- Liaise with Air Traffic Management Authorities, Integrated Operations Centre, Crew resources and other agencies for expediting operational support and organizational support whenever necessary to accomplish a mission safely and efficiently.
- Liaise with Flight Operations Engineers/Line Maintenance specialists equipped with the interpretation of the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) for each aircraft type and its variants to determine the airworthiness of an aircraft to accomplish the desired mission.
- To update Integrated Operations Centre with operational impact due to weather forecasts, severe weather systems, and Volcanic Ash Advisories, affecting routes and airports to alert other stakeholders on the knock-on effect and recovery plans if necessary.
- To monitor the ad-hoc/charter routes for compliance with published decompression procedures. If not, liaise with Operations Engineering experts to develop an appropriate procedure.

**About You**

With a Degree:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 10 years of job-related experience
- Essential:

- Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level
- Project management.
- Experience in managing personnel
- Experience managing relationships with Civil Aviation Authorities.
- Work experience in airline Management positions either within Qatar Airways or comparable airline including knowledge of daily airline operating procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of civil aviation regulations, requirements and procedures (e.g. QCAR, FAR, IATA, EASA, ICAO).
- Knowledge of Safety and Standard Practices.
- Familiarity with Quality / Compliance Management Systems, SMS, FRMS.
- Previous Regulatory Experience will be advantageous.
- Preferred:

- Post-Graduated Degree.
- Studies in aviation management or experience as Senior Captain holding or have held a type rating for an aircraft operated by Qatar Airways or equivalent.
