**One of our clients is looking for a highly experienced **Customs Clearance, Forwarding, and Transportation Manager **who is available in Qatar and can join at the earliest.**

**Job Summary**:
The Customs Clearance, Forwarding, and Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire customs clearance process, managing forwarding logistics, and transportation. This position requires in-depth knowledge of customs procedures, freight forwarding, and logistics to coordinate with customers and manage relationships with various stakeholders such as customs authorities, freight carriers, government agencies and customers. The manager ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while delivering efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions to customers.

**Area of focus & key tasks**:
**Customer Relationship Management**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding customs clearance, forwarding, and transportation services.
- Understand customer needs and ensure that services are delivered according to their expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular updates to customers on the status of shipments, customs clearance, and delivery timelines.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or issues related to customs clearance or shipping delays.

**Customs Clearance Management**:

- Manage the entire customs clearance process for customer goods, ensuring timely and compliant clearance of imports and exports.
- Prepare and review required customs documentation, including declarations, invoices, certificates of origin, and other paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations, including duties, taxes, and tariff classifications.

**Forwarding and Logistics Coordination**:

- Coordinate with freight forwarders to manage the movement of goods from origin to destination.
- Ensure efficient booking, scheduling, and tracking of shipments in alignment with customer requirements.
- Work with customers to determine optimal shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and reduce transit times.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with freight carriers and other service providers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Ensure that all documentation related to customs clearance, freight forwarding, and transportation is accurately prepared and submitted.
- Maintain comprehensive records of shipments, including bills of lading, customs declarations, shipping invoices, and certificates.
- Provide regular performance and shipment status reports to customers and internal stakeholders.

**Transportation Management**:

- Oversee the transportation of goods for customers, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of goods.
- Monitor transportation schedules and ensure adherence to customer delivery deadlines.

**Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Ensure that all customs clearance and forwarding operations comply with relevant customs laws, regulations, and trade agreements.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in customs rules, international trade regulations, and shipping requirements.
- Manage any risks associated with customs clearance, such as customs inspections, potential fines, or delays.
- Implement processes and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure smooth and timely clearance and transportation of goods.

**Team Management and Collaboration**:

- Lead and manage a team of customs clearance officers, logistics coordinators, and other personnel.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure a high level of service and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal departments (finance, procurement, etc.) and external partners (customs, shipping agents, customers) to ensure seamless operations.

**Cost and Performance Optimization**:

- Analyze shipping routes, customs procedures, and transportation methods to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Implement initiatives to streamline customs clearance and forwarding processes to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customs clearance, transportation, and customer satisfaction.

**Preferred Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, and transportation management, preferably within a C&F company.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, international trade laws, and transportation logistics.
- Proven experience in managing customer relationships and delivering high levels of customer service.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
