The primary responsibilities of the **Pre-Sales Solutions Architect**
- Gather business requirements and formalize services/solutions requests
- Independently conduct small to medium engagements with clients
- Maintain current knowledge of the entire MEEZA portfolio
- Assist in the development of standard reusable MEEZA “productized” consulting service offerings, including definition of tasks, deliverables, and standard estimates
- Work with sales and clients to define business/technical requirements and then propose solutions, based on MEEZA solutions/services that meet those requirements and fit within MEEZA’s Portfolio
- Answer client questions about MEEZA services and technical facilities in a succinct and coherent way.
- Write technical proposals to meet client requirements, which should include hardware and some software specifications, some networking components, service planning and definition, diagrams, and pricing suggestions.
- Hand off projects to the MEEZA technical team, with sufficient technical detail about the client’s agreed service.
- To be aware of and comply with company and statutory requirements regarding health, safety, fire, and hygiene.
- Provides technical assistance and guidance during the sales process by identifying client requirements, consulting with technical colleagues, and supporting account managers and bid managers on proposal activities. Additionally, the Pre-Sales Engineer helps to develop the technical capability of MEEZA’s sales teams through coaching and training.
- Provides clients technical leadership in conceptualisation, design, modelling, installation, configuration, and implementation of MEEZA’s products and technologies. The position requires the ability to deliver proposals based on standard services.
- Understand the technical risks associated with each aspect of the service and ensure these are mitigated in the design.
- Liaise with 3rd Party suppliers and other partners when and where required to meet customer requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical support or engineering-related role working with a wide variety of network and server technologies.
- Work on own initiative and under pressure with a strong ability to prioritize.
- Experience of working within a sales environment.
- Experience with modern software development methodologies, with emphasis on software and hardware architecture, and infrastructure design and development
- Familiarity with systems management concepts, processes, and standards (e.g., SNMP); capacity/performance management and tuning; and storage and network management
- Understanding of modern IT production datacentre hosting operations
- Good understanding of hardware technologies such as Hyper-converged and converged infrastructure technologies, Storage technologies, and backup technologies

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT equivalent degree
- 8+ years of practical hands-on experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supporting sales role
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as written/oral communications skills are essential
