**Job Summary and Purpose**:
Lead and manage a team of Shipping Agents and other support systems by communicating and coordinating the actions between the ship and shore parties in order to ensure smooth and on time turnaround of ships.
Accelerate company revenues by actively seeking new business opportunities relating to the port, as well as manage the location in a manner that optimizes revenues, controls costs, and develops overall profitability.
Ensure safe and legal import, export, and movement of goods in and out of Qatar. Provide services to all ships managed by the agency and report to the Principals, Port and other Government Authorities

1. Manage daily operations and communicate with the customers, port authorities and other legal bodies to ensure adherence to all port procedures and regulations.
2. Actively engage with customers with the intention to accelerate revenues for Nakilat Agency and market share within the port - this position comes with strong commercial accountability.
3. Ensure legal delivery of services to the ships by acting as the first point of contact to the customers.
4. Ensure timely safety clearance, berthing and boarding operations by managing data input to SAP, tracking vessels and coordinating information exchange between the agency, consignee and other notifying parties such as shippers, terminals and port/Government bodies.

**Budget Management**:
5. Actively participate in the development, and subsequent management of the budget for the respective area/service line, accelerate revenue capture wherever possible, compile and submit the monthly operational reports to the agency for planning and cost analysis purposes.
6. Oversee the distribution of the pro forma disbursement account and ensure proper funds to allow port access to ships.
7. Maintain and approve the final disbursement account according to the port/agency tariff and also ensure its timely dispatch to the customers.
8. Actively follow up on unpaid invoices with a view to keeping receivables within the 90-day maximum payment window

**Market Study and Customer Satisfaction**:
9. Undertake market, feasibility, and benchmarking studies in shipping agency related services in order to ensure sustainable growth, overall competitiveness and completion of the objectives of the company.
10. Enhance customer satisfaction by formulating, implementing and constantly improving the effectiveness of the IMS procedures.

11. Organize and supervise the activities and work of direct subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific team is completed as per the required standards and in line with the Nakilat operating policies and procedures.
12. Establish and evaluate an appropriate training program for the agency staff as well as the Qatari nationals in order to develop the required level of education and experience.
13. Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
14. Ensure a healthy work climate by monitoring the general administration activities such as team building initiatives, performance evaluation programs, leave and work schedule plans.

15. Adhere to all relevant IMS policies, procedures, instructions and controls so that Nakilat provides a safe, world class, secure and environmentally responsible service to customers, the public and its own people.

17. Control the required operations during the port stay of vessels by ensuring the proper execution of tasks by the respective agents and bodies.
18. Manage all departure formalities and finalize the required documentation.
19. Evaluate operational procedures on a constant basis in order to identify required preventive and corrective measures.
20. Carry out any other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor.
