**About us**:
As a key member of the team, the Dietitian/Diabetes Educator at Droobi LLC plays a vital role in the company's development, implementation, and growth. Using a digital self-management approach, the health coach is dedicated to providing education and support to adults facing various types of diabetes, including prediabetes, high risk, type 2, type 1, and gestational diabetes. Through personalized guidance and behavioral change strategies, the Dietitian/Diabetes Educator empowers individuals to take control of their health and effectively manage their condition.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Updates the education material used for client empowerment and support, where required.
- Recruits and provides training as needed, regarding the program, its tools and outcomes.
- Conduct individualized nutrition assessments and develop personalized meal plans for patients with diabetes or those at risk of developing diabetes.
- Provide comprehensive diabetes education, including information on blood glucose monitoring, medication management, carbohydrate counting, and lifestyle modifications through the chatting tool in the Droobi Health Portal, based on the coaching guide.

**Support in behavioural change**:

- Provides feedback, assistance and support to users, based on triggers, tracked activities and readiness for change, in a digital setting.
- Monitors progress, adjusts lifestyle goals and discusses users’ struggles in implementing change.
- Assists users in weight loss and diabetes management journey through adherence to medications, physical activity, healthy eating and blood sugar monitoring plans.
- Coordinates with IT and Data teams to ensure best user experience and predict behaviour change.
- Facilitates understanding of diabetes related diseases, complications and medications.
- Refers users to primary health care providers for medication change as needed.
- Follows-up on blood sugar level, weight and HbA1C updates and changes.
- Reminds users to follow-up on regular complication prevention exams.
- Ensures adequate record keeping is up-to-date (changes, updates, discharge, recruitment ).

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition science, Public health or equivalent.
- Certification as a Diabetes Educator.
- Experience in diabetes education and management, and an exposure to antihyperglycemic agents.
- Experience and knowledge of adult education methods and motivational interviewing.
- Understanding and implementation of behavioural change science.
- Proficient with computer systems, health technology, informatics, or telemedicine.
- Experience in program development and evaluation.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a multi disciplinary team.
- Experience and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population.
- Experience working in a community setting including outreach activities.
- Good knowledge of diabetes management principles, nutrition therapy, and behavior change strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.

**Experience**:

- Business Development: 4 years (preferred)
- Sales Leadership: 5 years (required)
