**Key Account Manager-Qatar, Oman, Bahrain**

This position works out of our Qatar location in EPD Division.

**What You’ll Do**
- As a Key Account Manager, you'll build and maintain strong business partnerships with key stakeholders to position Abbott as a strategic partner and achieve sales targets and business objectives whilst ensuring maximize profitability in line with the company’s strategy in assigned key accounts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Track and monitor performance for all products in governmental sector and provide monthly report e.g. monthly consumption, forecasted orders, phasing of orders, stocks etc
- Analyse performance for all products in the portfolio and identify growth opportunities and achieve optimal and accurate forecast for order’s phasing in accounts
- Attain optimal stock management and ensure availability of promoted products with minimum expiries
- Build and maintain strong business partnerships with key stakeholders in all accounts at area level i.e. purchasing committee members, pharmacists, finance department, supply department, hospital store managers to position Abbott as a strategic partner
- Gather market intelligence data to assess impact on Abbott operations and suggest timely action plan
- Oversee the account’s ordering cycle for all portfolio products for local purchasing and tenders in order to ensure optimal market penetration
- Assess and mitigate risks on business in terms of price cuts, competitors’ threat and alternative source of supply
- Building annual tender calendar to enable proactive preparation for all tender bids
- Support pre-launch and launch activities of new products as and when needed
- Work with customers to implement programs/ project that improve health outcomes
- Execute business related actions in line with the industry code of ethics and in compliance with company policies and procedures

**Required Qualifications**
- Understanding of Tender and Contracting business
- Strong commercial background; understanding of demand/supply and access field
- University degree.
- Additional education is a plus

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong commercial focus; working in a matrix environment
- Track record of focus on results with a high commitment to quality and performance
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute with detailed implementation
- Experience and demonstrated results working and leading in multi-national, multi-cultural environments
- Strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic
