**Your day to day**
As the Government Relations Officer, you will have to maintain and cultivate goodwill and good relationship with government departments. You are responsible for processing all types of permits including hotel trade licenses, commercial licenses, employment visas, residence visas for employees as well as entertainers if required; renew permits, and other visa/license-related documents. You will process and renew Entertainers Permits / N.O.C through the respective Government departments where required. Process and renew registration for all hotel vehicles. You will have to be up to date in regards to any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws/rules/regulations, changes in forms/formats, and other procedures, and keep the General Manager and Human Resources Manager advised of such changes. You have to submit relevant documents periodically and as required to the Immigration Office with regard to canceled/absconding employees and delete them from the hotel’s sponsorship list; obtain monthly sponsorship reports from the Immigration Office and tally sponsorship and re-submit to Immigration Office with relevant support documents; and prepare on a monthly basis reports e.g. for visa reconciliation, passport inventory, etc. You would also have to carry out other relevant tasks and duties as assigned from time to time.

Arabic speaking is mandatory

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

- Qatar Labour Laws
- Immigration rules and regulations
- HR and Administration Policies and Procedures
- Computer literacy
- Relevant degree, from an academic institution
