Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety Manager to join our team at Minor International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of sanitation and hygiene standards across our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitation and Hygiene Standards: Develop and implement procedures to ensure all food served to guests and employees are free of microbiological, chemical, and physical contamination.
  • Personal Hygiene: Implement and ensure personal hygiene practices among staff members.
  • Critical Control Points: Establish and maintain critical control points to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
  • Evaluation and Corrective Actions: Evaluate the effectiveness of sanitation and hygiene practices and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Staff Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all staff members.
  • Premises and Equipment: Ensure all premises and equipment are properly maintained and sanitized to prevent contamination.
  • Engineering and F&B Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and machinery.
  • Action Plan Rectification: Develop and implement action plans to rectify any sanitation and hygiene issues.
  • Delivery and Storage: Ensure all food and supplies are stored and delivered in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Tracking System for Supplier Operating Licenses: Develop and implement a tracking system to ensure all suppliers have valid operating licenses.
  • Daily Checklist for Chiller Temperature Control: Develop and implement a daily checklist to ensure chiller temperature control is maintained.
  • Control of Dry Store Food Preparation: Develop and implement procedures to ensure dry store food preparation is done safely and hygienically.
  • Preparation and Storage: Ensure all food is prepared and stored in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Develop and implement cleaning and sanitation schedules to ensure all areas are clean and sanitized.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to ensure all staff members are aware of sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Evaluation of Efficiency of Training: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Document Control: Develop and implement document control procedures to ensure all sanitation and hygiene documents are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Monthly Food Safety Training Report: Develop and implement a monthly food safety training report to ensure all staff members are aware of sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Verification of CCP Records and Receiving Records: Verify all CCP records and receiving records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Food Sampling and Follow-up: Conduct regular food sampling and follow-up to ensure food safety.
  • Gather Relevant Information and Records: Gather relevant information and records for any alleged foodborne illness.
  • Internal Audit: Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with sanitation and hygiene standards.
  • Verification of Stewarding Files and Engineering Files: Verify all stewarding files and engineering files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • FSMS Meeting, Trainings, Audits, and Briefing: Conduct regular FSMS meetings, trainings, audits, and briefings to ensure all staff members are aware of sanitation and hygiene practices.
Qualifications
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience working in a high-risk environment.
  • Formal Qualification: Formal qualification in occupational health and safety, related field, or commensurate experience.
  • Sound Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the Health and Safety CCP procedures and its application in the workplace.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in the areas of worker engagement, contractor management, incident management, training and competency, risk management, machinery safety, hazardous substances, traffic management, audit programming, and occupational hygiene.
  • Strong Relationship Building: Strong relationship building, influencing, and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to Prioritize Tasks: Ability to prioritize tasks through good time management and organization skills.
  • Professional Attitude: Professional, proactive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
