Clinical Reporting Analyst

This is a remote position at Ellit Groups, a woman-owned, minority-owned, and WBENC-certified healthcare information technology consulting services firm. We are a team of seasoned operational leaders who have been responsible for some of the largest and most complex EMR implementations in integrated healthcare delivery networks.

Job Summary

The Clinical Reporting Analyst is accountable for leading the optimization of clinical dashboards for outcomes-driven metrics. This involves mining data and/or information to identify inconsistencies, trends, or other clinically relevant data needed (e.g., developing and/or running data queries). The successful candidate will work cross-functionally and collaborate across other teams and projects, including coordinating resources across Information Systems, Operations, Vendors, and/or other system-related functional resources required to implement and support IS projects at the enterprise level.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures the accuracy and comprehensiveness of reports and data sources, and provides support and training on reporting and related topics.
  • Assists with and executes project planning (including planning, organizing, and managing resources) and all phases of the project management lifecycle for a variety of initiatives related to clinical practice initiatives that bring about beneficial changes or added value.
  • Actively responds to questions and queries, works to reinforce best practices and methods, and provides follow-up support.
  • Works with internal and external sources to support enhanced automation of data acquisition and reporting through EPIC and other clinical data systems.
  • Manages multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Conducts, monitors, and reports on analyses to identify practices that enhance the value of care provided by drilling into the components of care such as patient flow, medical supplies and devices, pharmaceuticals, laboratory testing, nursing care, radiology testing, surgical services, therapy services.
  • Assesses the application of evidence-based clinical standards and clinical reengineering processes and their impact on operations, quality, cost, and resource utilization.
  • Identifies best practices in the technical community and helps to shape and implement policies that enhance data quality, compliance, and clinical operational users' support.

Activities would include attending courses and researching articles and publications to engage feedback for clinical users of the EHR. Performs other duties as assigned.
