Job Summary

The Spa Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the spa, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and achieving operating budget goals. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of employees delivering spa services, including salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception desk, massage, and locker room areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of employees delivering spa services, ensuring guest satisfaction and achieving operating budget goals.
  • Assume responsibilities of the Spa Director in their absence, ensuring seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure all employees have the necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage supplies and equipment inventories within budget, maintaining cleanliness of the spa and related areas.
  • Understand the impact of department operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives, managing to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.

Customer Service Focus

  • Set a positive example for guest relations, interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Handle guest problems and complaints, empowering employees to provide excellent customer service.
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings, focusing on continuous improvement and striving to improve service performance.

Human Resources Activities

  • Solicit employee feedback, utilizing an open-door policy and reviewing employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
  • Ensure employees understand expectations and parameters, observing service behaviors and providing feedback to individuals.
  • Participate in employee progressive discipline procedures, supporting a spa orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training.
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees, ensuring property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
