Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Security Specialist to join our team at NORTH OIL COMPANY QATAR. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and maintaining best practice safety and security strategies and systems for our General Services division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain an active contractor safety forum and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise a team of security guards and provide training and support as needed.
  • Investigate incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Provide support for incident management and emergency response.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent with demonstrable recent successful experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and English communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Capable of working in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Understanding of the incident investigation and learning process.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office.
  • Good knowledge of electronic reporting systems.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant safety and security experience preferably in high-rise buildings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree (or direct equivalent, or relevant industry experience) in HSE and Security.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing circumstances. The role will involve working with a diverse range of stakeholders and requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
