About the Role

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to join Qatar Airways as a Sports Events Product Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and managing sports events and travel products that enable international and domestic access to sporting events.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop a pipeline of sporting events and products that are ready to go to market, working in collaboration with internal teams and external partners to maximize the commercial potential of Qatar Airways' sponsorship portfolio.
  2. Maintain an annual calendar of events and assets library for sporting product distribution, ensuring that all events and products are aligned with the company's business objectives.
  3. Recommend suitable sport and entertainment related products and travel packages, with the relevant sporting event, to create desirable unique customer experiences.
  4. Identify distribution channels for sales, and ensure license compliance with relevant governing bodies, such as Formula One.
  5. Support in pitches to National Governing Bodies (NGB) of Sports for events to be held in the State of Qatar, in support of the Government's national agenda.
  6. Collaborate with external partners and internal departments to optimize commercial rights and benefits of sponsorship events.
  7. Be accountable for KPIs and budgets for measuring success, providing commercial modeling and sales forecasts of sporting event products.
  8. Main focal point for sponsorship event ticket inventory and distribution, ensuring a zero-wastage policy, and working closely with project managers and leads to instill good practice.
  9. Produce well-structured presentations and toolkits to support sporting event products positioning.
  10. Support business commercial initiatives, such as Privilege Club Collection.
  11. Responsible for sponsorship event ticket inventory and distribution, ensuring zero wastage, working closely with Project Manager and their teams to implement allocations.
  12. Develop a pipeline of sporting products and support go-to-market strategies, while keeping a library record of each event and product produced.
  13. Identify opportunities to support tournaments and events to be sponsored by Qatar Airways, boosting the initiative to promote QR brands on a regional and global level.
  14. Perform other department duties related to his/her position, as directed by the Head of the Department.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in sports projects, sports travel and events management, and sales. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of job-related experience, and a strong facility for project management demonstrated by on-time delivery.
