Job Summary

Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced Program Manager IT PMO to lead the delivery of IT projects and programmes across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a group of interrelated projects, establishing scheduling, delivery, and resource dependencies, and risk management across the projects to ensure programme delivery in an efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for delivery of the assigned programme and ensure projects under that are delivered within agreed cost and timescales.
  • Ensure that available resources across on-site/offshore are optimally utilized within the programme to achieve the objectives and success of the programme.
  • Ensure the list of projects to be undertaken along with key attributes such as business priority is defined and maintained.
  • Ensure that each project is initiated at the right time.
  • Establish organizational control structures for work programme (e.g. work programme steering group) working with respective Senior Managers.
  • Ensure that risks from individual projects are consolidated, prioritized based on risk exposure and resources are focused to manage risks with highest impact on the programme.
  • Ensure that a consolidated work programme plan is established and maintained based on high-level planning output from individual projects.
  • Ensure that summary reports of all projects in the programme are provided to relevant stakeholders in regular time intervals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in programme management, preferably in a large and complex IT environment.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.
