Key Accountabilities:- Provide Insights to Management: Support the line manager to provide insights to Management, for strategic decision making through researching IFRSs and QR Group's policies.
- Research and Compliance: Assist with researching International Accounting/Reporting Standards and industry accounting best practices to ensure Airline and Group accounting processes are in line with them.
- External Audit Support: Responsible for timely completion of external audits of QR Group.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Support the preparation of QR Group consolidated financial statements in line with IFRSs.
- Monthly and Yearly Financial Statements: Assist with the preparation of Monthly and Yearly Financial Statements for Group and Individual entities in line with IFRSs.
- Interim and Year-End Audit Management: Assisting the Head of Record to Report to manage the interim and year-end external audit requirements as per timelines.
- White Paper Development: Developing white papers for IFRSs and identifying major changes impacting Group Entities.
- Month-End Closing Activities: Support month-end closing activities are completed in line with month timetable.
- Finance Transformation Initiatives: Support the Finance transformation initiatives by providing accounting advice and support.
- Training and Development: Educate finance staff in applying IFRSs/IASs and the best industry accounting practices.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Reporting Manager to join our team at Qatar Airways. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial reporting, with a minimum of 6 years of job-related experience.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with minimum of 6 years of job-related experience.
- Qualifications: Relevant University qualification in Accounting/Commerce/Finance at minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent.
- Professional Certifications: Professional accounting certificate i.e. CA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent is preferred.
- Language Skills: In-depth knowledge on International Accounting/Reporting Standards and their impact on Group Companies.
- Language Proficiency: Command of English language.
- Managerial Skills: Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
