As a key member of the public markets team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and strategic planning of funds and public asset portfolios.

Job Overview

This dynamic position involves close collaboration with external investment managers to optimize portfolio performance and coordination with internal teams to ensure alignment with overall investment objectives. You will contribute significantly to the growth and development of the public assets team within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for new funds and existing public asset portfolios.
  • Collaborate with external investment managers to drive portfolio optimization and enhance performance.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to the expansion and growth of the public assets team.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced strategist with a proven track record in contributing to the development of strategic plans for funds and sub-asset classes. A background in large alternative asset managers and boutiques is highly desirable, particularly those with expertise in GCC/MENA equities. Knowledge of other asset classes and fixed income is also beneficial.

Preferred Skills:
  • A strong understanding of GCC/MENA equities and experience working in the region.
  • An ability to identify and select long-only public investors and make strategic decisions that positively impact economic outcomes.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with external investment managers and internal teams.
  • An innovative mindset and a willingness to contribute to the growth and development of the public assets team.

Estimated Salary: 120,000 - 180,000 QAR per annum

This figure is estimated based on industry standards for professionals in similar roles within the public markets sector in Doha, Qatar. It reflects the expectation of significant experience and a high level of expertise in fund development and strategic planning.
