Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned director to join our credit, equities and hedge funds investment unit in Doha, Qatar.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth and development of the Credit portfolio, delivering above-benchmark investment returns while creating exposure to non-core asset classes and co-investment opportunities.
  • They will actively manage a global portfolio of external funds ensuring strategic alignment and robust performance.
  • A key aspect of the role will be conducting detailed due diligence on Credit funds and co-investment opportunities, coupled with ongoing assessment and tracking of developmental plans.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong network of strategic partnerships with leading global fund managers and will lead a team to execute initiatives and projects effectively.
  • Monitoring progress toward developmental and commercial goals, providing insights and recommendations to align with strategic priorities will also be a crucial part of this role.
  • The candidate will develop and refine the strategy for the Fund of Funds (FoF) program based on progress, performance, and evolving market conditions.

Requirements

  • Essential experience in credit manager selection (credit FoFs) is required.
  • An in-depth expertise in private asset classes and credit relationships at a high level is essential.
  • Background from an alternative asset manager, specialised fund of fund boutique or fund advisory. Investment banking and broader advisory backgrounds will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategise and execute plans for private credit funds or similar financial institutions is necessary.
  • Experience or understanding of the gulf investment landscape would be highly beneficial.
  • Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
  • Educational background of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is necessary.

Estimated Salary Range: QAR 250,000 - QAR 350,000 per annum
