Le Meridien Hotel is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing special meals and ensuring the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare special meals or substitute items as required by the chef
  • Regulate the temperature of cooking equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Pull food from freezer storage and thaw it in the refrigerator to ensure prompt availability
  • Ensure that food is presented attractively and in line with the hotel's standards
  • Record food inventory and monitor usage to prevent waste
  • Notify the chef of any excess food items that can be used in daily specials
  • Inform the food and beverage service staff of menu changes and out-of-stock items
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
  • Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and guidelines
  • Prepare cold foods and desserts as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices
