Contract Administration Professional

Ralph Walters is seeking an experienced Contract Administration Professional to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for administering contracts and ensuring that they are executed efficiently and effectively.
The Role:
- You will administer contracts and ensure that they are executed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Negotiate with suppliers to draw up procurement contracts and facilitate contract administration, extension, termination, and renegotiation.
- Recommend and implement policies and procedures required for contracting processes.
- Formulate and coordinate procurement proposals for assigned areas.
- Coordinate the activities of teams engaged in formulating bid proposals, scope of work, and bid review and evaluation as assigned.
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and compliance to contractual obligations.
- Review requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules and advise management on appropriate action, rejection, or approval.
- Lead in arbitration on claims or complaints occurring in performance of contracts by representing the interests of the company in line with the terms and conditions of contracts as assigned.
- Analyze and evaluate price/commercial proposals and other data/information submitted by vendors, determine reasonableness of prices, and recommend best offers.
- Participate in negotiation processes with vendors and ensure the company's interests are upheld.
- Act as a liaison between vendors and the company's user department by facilitating contacts and information flow during pre- and post-award phases.
- Maintain awareness and up-to-date knowledge on best practices and industry trends on contracts to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Prepare periodic reports regarding assigned contract activities.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 6 years of experience in supply contracts, with at least 2 years of handling similar services preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Law plus professional qualifications in Supply Chain management such as CIPS.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of contracts and business law.
- In-depth knowledge of required administrative and/or operations services (technical or general).
- Knowledge of leading best practices in contracts and procurement.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy with high proficiency in MS Office and ERP modules.
Training courses in supply chain management, contracts, negotiation, communication, and other related courses are highly recommended.
