About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cash Desk Sales Associate. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using our Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash, traveler's cheques, credit cards, and other forms of payment in a secure and responsible manner.
  • Ensure cash and documentation are secure at all times and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for cash variances at the end of each shift and ensure that any discrepancies are reported to the supervisor.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customers leave the store feeling valued and satisfied.
  • Process customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve sales targets and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and be able to answer customer queries.
Requirements
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • English communication skills.
  • Previous retail and customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Basic PC skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
