Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Manager to join our team at Kempinski Hotel in Qatar - Doha. As a key member of our Revenue and Reservations department, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and ensuring seamless reservations operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage room inventory to achieve optimal occupancy, average rate, and revenue, reviewing daily reservations accuracy and rates compliance.
  • Train, develop, and motivate staff to increase productivity and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in staff recruitment, organize on-the-job and monthly training, and supervise performance to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to Kempinski service standards.
  • Review MyFidelio, OCM & PMS availability, maintaining sufficient inventory for high-yield segments.
  • Ensure all sellable contracted rates are loaded in all systems for ease of use by Reservations.
  • Supervise Reservations Agents in their daily duties, including pick-ups, travel agents' commissions, and staff responses to clients.
  • Control no-show and late cancellation charges.
  • Update Serenata configuration, offers, and confirmation letters in corporate design, if applicable.
  • Ensure the team is aware of the internal credit policy.
  • Follow up on lost business and bring information to the knowledge of department superiors.
  • Keep close follow-up on competitor hotel developments (occupancy, renovation, special campaigns, theme events, etc.).
  • Spot-check reservations made the previous day and check all VIP arrivals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in revenue management and reservations operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems, including IDeaS, Channel Manager, and Opera.
