Job Title: Facilities Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Officer to join our team at Qatar Airways. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a Quality Control System to identify and propose recommendations for improvement in operational processes.
  • Oversee Service Providers' daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to approved Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Train Service Provider personnel on tasks, protocols, and maintenance standards to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality services.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests and communicate via email or letters as necessary.
  • Audit apartments prior to release to the Accommodation section to ensure they meet standards.
  • Draft and review reports to propose corrective measures and ensure compliance with standard procedures.
  • Ensure timely corrective measures are taken to address non-conforming or recurring situations and notify the Manager as necessary.
  • Follow up with teams on pending maintenance requests to enhance operational reliability.
  • Maintain daily absentee logs to ensure timely replacement by Service Providers.
  • Participate in contract formation and provide input to the Manager through Statements of Work (SOW) and Technical Evaluation.
  • Establish robust tracking of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Recommend rules and regulations for the storage, disposal, and transportation of contaminants.
  • Determine hygiene program needs through random hygiene checks and direct studies of health and hygiene to provide training to staff and Service Provider personnel.
  • Respond immediately in emergency situations and perform other department duties as directed by the Head of the Department.

Management and Leadership:

  • Establish department or team objectives and priorities to align with business objectives.
  • Regularly evaluate department or team objectives, plans, procedures, and practices, and make appropriate changes as needed.
  • Oversee and supervise employees, direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop, and discipline to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Train and develop other employees to ensure succession planning is in place.
