Fuels Support Equipment Superintendent

The Fuels Support Equipment Superintendent plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management of the site's Fuels program. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and applicable USAF requirements. The Superintendent works closely with the Fuels Functional Manager to develop plans and implement procedures that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to all Fuels employees, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assign priorities to Fuels work, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate Fuels support requirements with management and other functional areas, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Review and implement Fuels reconstitution goals, ensuring that scheduled inspections are performed as required.
  • Compile information and submit reports on Fuels asset status, inspections, inventory, reconstitution, and storage, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Identify asset deficiencies and submit Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) as required, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Participate in Quality Corrective Action Working Groups (CAWG) to develop Corrective/Preventive Actions for negative internal and external audits, updating the Quality Management System (QMS) accordingly.
  • Submit Periodic Maintenance Inspection, Reconstitution, and man-hour data as required, providing a clear picture of Fuels program performance.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of timesheets and ensure that overtime is warranted prior to approval, ensuring that employees are fairly compensated for their work.
  • Ensure that technical inspections and functional checks are conducted in compliance with all applicable technical data and work instructions, prior to shipping Fuels assets.
  • Ensure that employee performance evaluations are conducted as required within the suspense timeframe, providing valuable feedback and guidance to employees.
  • Ensure that Fuel training is adequate for task requirements and update training records as required, ensuring that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Review and validate all parts and material requirements for accuracy, tracking to ensure that they are received in a timely manner.
  • Account for all bulk fuel utilized for site generator/vehicle operations, ensuring that fuel usage is optimized and efficient.
  • Review, validate, and approve all monthly USG submitted fuels receipts, ensuring that financial transactions are accurate and compliant.
  • Perform other duties, tasks, and TDY travel as directed by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum PowerPoint, Excel, and Word programs.
  • Must possess a valid home country driver's license and the ability to obtain a host nation driver's license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years USAF or US Service equivalent supervisory experience required.
  • Must be familiar with USAF or US Service equivalent Fuels operations.
  • Cyro Maintainer Course (J2AZR2F051 04AA) certificate or 10 years experience required (Thumrait Site only).
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
  • May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
  • Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for the task being performed.
  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising a diverse international workforce is desired.
  • Ten years USAF or US Service equivalent supervisory experience preferred.
  • Refueling Maintenance experience desired.
  • Fuels Apprentice Course (J3ABR2F031 00AB) or US Service equivalent desired.
  • FORCE Course (J3AZR2F051 05AB) Certificate or experience desired. If the certificate is not already obtained, will attend FORCE Course within 12 months of employment.
