**Job Description**

Join Delivery Hero's team as an Assistant Category Manager and play a key role in driving business growth through effective category management.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing category management strategies that drive sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assortment Management:
  • Ensuring cost efficiency across consumers, meeting their needs and wants.
  • Defining and maintaining the local assortment, integrating the basic assortment for the department/categories.
  • Selecting local suppliers, negotiating and purchasing in line with expected needs guided by standards such as cost price, discounts, rebates, payment terms, etc.
  • Pricing Strategy:
  • Pricing items based on pricing guidelines and recommended prices for PL/Imported items.
  • Collecting market prices and conducting country price audits.
  • Promotional Activities:
  • Identifying local promo products and pricing each item and submitting forecasting/relevant reordering information to replenishment.
  • Developing the country promotion calendar.
  • Following up and ensuring effective execution of all activities required for each promotional event.
  • Analyzing and providing inputs for more effective promotional activities such as consumer preferences, local competitors and trends.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in progressive development and management of multiple product categories, matured by working for large retailers (FMCG), in an international setting.
  • Built teams and led cross-functional projects at scale.
  • Good knowledge and experience in Imported products.
  • Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
