Job Summary and Purpose

The Employee Relations Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring a positive and productive work environment at Qatar Fabrication Company. This position is responsible for providing expert guidance on employee relations, workforce intelligence, and HR operations to support the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide the Employee Relations Team in their day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless delivery of HR services.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop and implement effective employee relations strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance on policy interpretation to management and employees, ensuring a clear understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, disciplinary cases, and grievances in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Act as a key liaison between employees and management, facilitating transparent communication and resolving conflicts.
  • Lead negotiations and settlements when necessary, promoting positive employee relations and minimizing disputes.
  • Assist the HR Manager in addressing legal issues related to employee relations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's practices remain compliant and effective.
  • Manage all employment contracts, monitoring company payroll, reviewing and validating eligible allowances and benefits.
  • Manage administrative circulars and decisions, ensuring timely communication with employees.
  • Oversee employees' data and records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Manage HRMS's master data, ensuring it remains up-to-date and accurate.
  • Review and validate new joiners' salary and applicable allowances and benefits.
  • Review and validate payments to employees, ensuring compliance with pertaining policies and contracts.
  • Provide escalation support, suggesting solutions to address employee queries in a prompt and effective manner.
Employee Relations Workforce Data

The Employee Relations Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive workforce data reports, highlighting key performance indicators such as sickness, turnover, staff costs, dismissals, suspensions, and grievances.

This data will be used to inform leadership and line management development programs, ensuring the organization remains competitive and compliant.

Strengthening Engagement and Learning

The Employee Relations Officer will work closely with the Learning and Development Specialist to coordinate a rigorous management by objectives culture, ensuring employees are engaged and motivated.

This will involve coordinating annual appraisals and supervision practices, ensuring employees receive regular feedback and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of related experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar position or responsibility.
  • Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry and regional experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual is an advantage.
