About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Food and Beverage Development team. As a key member of our Product Development and Design Team, you will be responsible for managing the development of our food and beverage offerings across all catering services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development of our food and beverage products, including sourcing and building relationships with new suppliers and managing current vendors.
  • Conduct market research and attend tradeshows to stay up-to-date on global trends and ensure our offerings are current and aligned with customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote our food and beverage offerings through social media platforms and industry award competitions.
  • Manage the administration and logistics of food and beverage tenders, including technical evaluation, planning, and budgeting.
  • Source new and innovative food and beverage products in collaboration with the culinary team.
  • Industry benchmarking and customer satisfaction evaluation to inform product development decisions.
  • Manage the product development life cycle for all food and beverage products across inflight.
  • Build strong relationships with food and beverage suppliers to enhance and develop opportunities.
  • Conduct supplier workshops to develop new products.
  • Manage the development of wine and beverage products and distribution strategy for the QR Catering network.
  • Contribute to the overarching food and beverage product development program in line with the airline's overall brand strategy.
  • Identify and develop promotional opportunities to market and publicize our award-winning food and beverage offerings.
  • Manage the food, beverage, and wine cycle change process, including menus and onboard materials.
  • Support timely purchasing of food, beverage, and wine stock items to ensure no out-of-stock or overstock situations.
  • Manage wine program and maintain optimum stock levels.
  • Manage the planning and introduction of new food, beverage, and wine stock items.
  • Support trade-off decisions to balance risk and cost of supply.
  • Collaborate with PDD and Catering Services on product development and specification.
  • Communicate product changes to stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement for food, beverage, and wine processes.
  • Project management, including task assignments, project coordination, budget management, coaching, and supporting team members.
About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional with a minimum of 8 years of job-related experience in food and beverage management within a hospitality environment. A wine qualification to the equivalent of WSET level 3 is required. Experience in logistics, equipment, and supplier management in a global environment is essential. Proven experience in forecasting, planning, and project/program management is also required.
