About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team at MACE Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing design resources for projects, ensuring that all design work is completed to the highest standards and meets the client's requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership: Lead and manage design resources for projects, ensuring that all design work is completed to the highest standards and meets the client's requirements.
  • Project Management: Manage daily operations for project design resources and managers, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Performance Monitoring: Lead and present management review data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project and sub-function leadership.
  • Business Development: Support business development and work-winning activities, identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to win new business.
  • Training and Development: Lead the identification, development, and delivery of relevant training to ensure that design resources have the skills and knowledge required to complete projects successfully.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that management systems are followed and that all project roles and responsibilities are adhered to.
  • Design Support: Act as a focal point for design-related matters on projects, providing support and guidance to design resources as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and initiate changes to project delivery plans, develop new design management tools and operating processes, and support the implementation of these changes.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Support and influence procurement routes, contractual, and legal aspects of projects.
  • Technical Excellence: Contribute to the promotion of technical excellence, support dialogue and communication, and collaborate with project management office (PMO) teams as required.
  • Knowledge Management: Actively seek out knowledge and experience through Company reach back and utilize the centre of excellence (CoE) knowledge base.
  • Carbon Transition: Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
