Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Saipem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review Client Technical Documentation: Carefully examine client-provided technical documentation and requirements to ensure a thorough understanding of the project scope.
  • Contribute to Structural Design Premises: Collaborate with project specialists to define the structural design premises, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Project Structural Design Brief: Contribute to the development of the Project Structural Design Brief, outlining the structural design and analysis work required for the project.
  • Liaise with Project Specialists: Effectively communicate with other project specialists and designers to ensure seamless collaboration and completion of assigned tasks.
  • Design Structural Systems: Design structural systems and components, prioritizing sound engineering principles, design optimization, cost-effectiveness, fabrication simplicity, constructability, and safety.
  • Structural Analyses: Conduct, check, and supervise structural analyses to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Steel Structures Design Drawings: Supervise and approve steel structures design drawings, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Bill of Quantities and Material Take-Off: Supervise the setup of bill of quantities or material take-off (MTO) to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  • Specifications for Structural Fabrications: Prepare specifications for structural fabrications and related items, such as bearing systems, bolts, cladding, grating, etc.
  • Verification of Structural Strength: Verify the structural strength or dynamic behavior of items designed by others, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Quality Control Procedure: Apply the Quality Control Procedure of the Offshore Structural Department during assigned work.
  • Field Engineering Activities: Perform field engineering activities as required.
