The F&B Supervisor will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations in our food and beverage outlets. This position involves leading a team of staff, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining our commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of food and beverage service areas, ensuring excellent customer service.
Train and motivate staff to deliver outstanding service and adhere to quality standards.
Monitor and manage inventory, including ordering and stock control.
Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training.
Address and resolve guest complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
Collaborate with management to develop menus and promotional events.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
1. Supervising Daily F&B Operations
Oversee Food and Beverage Service: Supervise the daily operations of food and beverage service, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and that all guests' orders are fulfilled correctly.
Manage Service Flow: Coordinate the flow of guests, ensuring that seating arrangements and table assignments are efficient, and that staff provides timely service during peak hours.
Ensure Proper Setup: Ensure that all tables, chairs, and service areas are set up according to the restaurant's standards before service begins. Monitor the cleanliness and organization of dining areas throughout service.
Control Service Standards: Monitor and maintain high service standards by guiding the team to meet or exceed guest expectations. Ensure that servers follow the correct procedures for greeting, serving, and checking out guests.
2. Staff Supervision and Training
Lead and Motivate Staff: Supervise and support the food and beverage service team, including waiters, bartenders, and other service personnel. Provide motivation and maintain morale among the team.
Staff Training and Development: Ensure that staff members are trained on proper service techniques, food and beverage knowledge, and customer service standards. Organize periodic training sessions to improve team performance.
Scheduling and Staffing: Assist with creating staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage during peak hours, adjusting as needed for special events or increased guest volume.
Monitor Staff Performance: Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and address any issues related to behavior, performance, or productivity. Ensure that all staff members comply with company policies and standards.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with supervisory experience preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities to guide, motivate, and manage the food and beverage team effectively.
Customer Service Focus: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and staff and provide outstanding customer service.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage the daily operations of the F&B department, from inventory control to staff scheduling.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to resolve conflicts or operational challenges quickly and efficiently.
Food and Beverage Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of food and beverage items, preparation methods, service techniques, and industry trends.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail in food and beverage presentation, service delivery, and maintaining cleanliness.
Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and track revenue to meet financial goals.
Multitasking: Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously, particularly during busy service periods.
