Stakeholder Manager

- You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace Group, the Centres of Excellence, Mace Way Control Centre and Knowledge Hub.
- You will use problem solving and analytical skills for resolving contract and procurement issues within the consultancy practice.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Accountable for supporting specialist function(s) within the Stakeholder Management Service on assigned commission(s).
- Creates/designs effective implementation of Stakeholder Management framework(s)/strategy(s) on assigned commission(s).
- Manages and directs clients, consultants, contractors and project team on assigned commission(s) on all relevant Stakeholder Management Service matters.
- Partners with clients to manage and meet expectations and build strong professional relationships.
- Provides comprehensive advice to the Project team in the administration of relevant Stakeholder & Communications standards, process and tools, including managing risks, issues and reporting to achieve key objectives and the escalation of performance and management issues.
- Facilitates and supports periodic reporting and structured governance and performance meetings.
- Accountable and responsible for developing functional management strategies, plans, processes and tools and tracking progress against KPIs.
- Works with the Stakeholder & Communications Service Director and/or Project Manager to recognise actions, recognise opportunities and mitigate risks and issues.
- Ensures all activities/operations are carried out in line with Mace Control Centre, Client requirements and prevailing regulation, policy and legislation.
- Provides Line Management to more junior resources and other Project staff as required.
- Utilises expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of junior staff team members.
- Leads the integration of the function with all relevant disciplines.
- Supports the HUB Stakeholder & Communications and Project Controls Director with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You'll Need To Have
- Experience of effective leadership on complex construction projects.
- Experience of setting up effective functional management/assurance frameworks/strategies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of functional tools, techniques, and software.
- Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
You'll Also Have
- Extensive experience (or equivalent) supporting the delivery of a Stakeholder & Communications services within the construction sector and/or management consultancy.
- Progress towards achievement of Chartered status (or equivalent) and/or membership of professional a relevant professional institution e.g. Association of Project Managers.
- Communication Skills: The ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and diplomatically with a wide range of stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills to foster trust and understanding among diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to proactively address conflicts and resolve issues that could arise between stakeholders.
- Negotiation Skills: The ability to navigate competing interests and broker compromises that meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong skills in stakeholder analysis and understanding their needs, interests, and levels of influence.
- Project Management: Ability to oversee multiple projects, track stakeholder engagement efforts, and coordinate tasks across different teams.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness and respect for cultural differences and how they affect stakeholder preferences and interactions.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about how to align stakeholder interests with broader organizational or project goals.
