for an Upcoming Project to be based in

Qatar.

HSSE Advisor

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
Engage with contractors to positively influence HSSE standards that continuously improve the contractor HSSE performance

Coordinate with respective construction engineer to understand the project look ahead, and support them with the advance information about the HSSE requirements

Review the HSSE bridging plan, project specific Induction plans submitted by Contractors

Participate in TBTs and LMRAs and monitor the effectiveness, support wherever required

Ensure all project personnel are familiar with the projects and QSGTL HSSE requirements

Conduct CHAZID walkdown at assigned project locations and follow up for action close out

Conduct field assessment of frontline workforce on Safety topics to understand their level of awareness.

Lead the monthly Safety Awareness campaign at assigned project locations

Actively promote HSSE excellence and vision to help create a strong HSSE culture

Actively participate in behaviour-based safety programs (We Care Card)

Coach the workforce for participating in We Care program

Participate / facilitate incident investigations

Conduct IOGP/CSSS and 4DX inspections as per schedule, monitor the same from Contractors

Review the emergency response requirements of the assigned project locations are in compliance, and the workforce are well aware about it

Coordinate with FIT Team and arrange Mockup drills at site

Verify whether the workforce completed all required training as per HSSE Training matrix. Perform random test to evaluate the awareness level

Monitor the compliance with “New employee management program”

Ensure site HSSE inspection and audit programs are implemented and effective

Promote Take5 and Step7 program always

Be an active member in every safety walkdown

Assess the specialized work activities, and develop the additional training materials wherever required

Attend the Train the Trainer sessions, and deliver the respective HSSE trainings to project employees

Deliver e-vision F2F training for new applicants of PTW roles, and conduct their knowledge assessments

Participate in all HSSE events like Dark corner walk, Drop Hunt, IHSSE Meetings, Safety Walkdowns.

**Education, Skills & Experience**:
BSc., University in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or equivalent

Experience and Skill set

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related project delivery with background in HSE, Construction, also in SIMOPS

Strong influencing, interpersonal skills.

Courage to intervene and challenge status quo;
Strong writing and computing skills;
Fluent English language skills

Previous experience in developing and implementing HSE Managements Systems.

Previous experience in implementation of effective business processes to manage a (safety) culture change.

Must be a self-starter, highly motivated who can recruit and create a team and develop them.

Build trusted adviser relationships with appropriate Project Manager(s)

Strong consulting skills

Strong HSE competence in Project HSE deliverables and processes.

Able to proactively identify and address HSE risks and issues.

Fully Conversant with Hazards and Effects Management Process.
