Job description:
**The Tender Specialist / Technical Engineer** is responsible for managing the entire tendering process, including preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with engineering and estimation teams, evaluating tender documents, and ensuring timely and competitive submission. The role bridges technical expertise and commercial strategy to secure new projects for the company.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Tender Management**:
Review and analyze tender documents (RFP, RFQ, ITT) for scope, terms, and technical requirements.

Prepare and compile technical and commercial proposals in coordination with relevant departments.

Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and clarification sessions.

Ensure compliance with client requirements, standards (e.g., FIDIC, QCS), and deadlines.

**Technical Support**:
Prepare and validate Bill of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and project specifications.

Liaise with design, procurement, planning, and construction teams for input and validation.

Provide value engineering and cost-effective solutions where applicable.

**Estimation & Costing**:
Work closely with the estimation team to determine accurate costings.

Request and analyze quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

Prepare internal cost reports and risk evaluations for management review.

Documentation & Reporting:
Ensure all tender documents are well-documented and archived.

Track tender status, deadlines, and outcomes in tender log reports.

Maintain an updated database of supplier and subcontractor prices.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering ( Mechanical or Electrical).

Additional certifications in project management, contracts, or estimation are a plus.

**Skills & Experience**:
3-8 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or technical engineering roles.

Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, contract types (FIDIC, NEC), and documentation.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera/MS Project, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, CCS, SAP, or ERP).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
