**Urgent requirement for a Senior Vice President Commercial Banking Relationship Management to be based in Qatar.** - **This is a Qatarization initiative**_ Main Responsibilities: - Ensure the implementation of strategies and plans to achieve all volume, revenue, and profit targets for the Commercial Banking Sector. - Meet target budgets for new Commercial Banking Sector client relationships comprising assets and liability product sales and profits for the Commercial Banking Sector function, in line with the overall corporate budget and strategy. - Promote cost consciousness and efficiency, enhance productivity, and optimize benefits for the bank. - Act within the limits of the delegated authority and delegate tasks to respective staff while monitoring their progress. - Demonstrate a clear understanding of the important factors behind the bank’s financial and non-financial performance. - Coordinate and liaise activities with various departments and units, ensuring cross-selling opportunities are effectively managed. - Serve as the primary "one point of contact" for clients, ensuring superior customer service and a proactive approach to meeting their needs. - Maintain, develop, and enhance core bank relationships with existing clients and identify and build new relationships. - Assist customers with queries about the bank’s products and seek solutions to their requests. - Provide timely and accurate data to internal/external auditors, compliance, financial control, and risk teams when required. - Implement the approved corporate banking strategy to achieve and exceed business objectives. - Ensure all activities comply with regulatory policies and best market practices. - Manage and motivate the team of Relationship Managers to maintain and improve service quality and meet set financial and non-financial targets. - Monitor and evaluate the credit portfolio to ensure targets are met and corrective measures are taken in a timely manner, adhering to the bank’s risk management parameters. - Approve credit proposals within the incumbent’s delegated powers and submit those exceeding approval authority to higher authorities. - Ensure each Relationship Manager has a balanced portfolio and monitor progress towards achieving set targets, implementing corrective actions as necessary. - Provide technical expertise to Relationship Managers, ensuring credit proposals meet relevant risk standards. - Ensure timely visits to client premises, meetings, and presentations by the team. - Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and processed for credit review and safe custody. - Proactively identify and report customer-related issues, ensuring appropriate remedial action. - Supervise the rollout of conventional corporate banking products targeted at Commercial Banking Sector clients. - Work closely with the Marketing & Product Management function to devise specific marketing strategies to defend and increase market share. - Track and report on transaction volumes, budget performance, and client-wise portfolio profitability, periodically reporting to senior management. **Requirements**: - Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (Master's preferred) with at least 15 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, preferably in the Middle East and with experience in the Commercial Banking Sector. - Well-informed about the competitive market structure, industry practices, and regulations for the Commercial Banking segment. - Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English and Arabic. - Strong people management skills and a deep understanding of risk management practices. - In-depth knowledge of laws, regulations, and practices related to corporate banking products. - Strong personal integrity, self-motivation, and leadership abilities. - Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills. - Ability to lead teams from diverse cultural backgrounds and provide strong customer service. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
