About the Role
Responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, reliable accounting information of Qatar Airways Subsidiaries complying with existing Qatar Airways Group’s accounting policies and International Financial Reporting Standard. You will be responsible for accurate transactions and information by ensuring proper reconciliation, review and correct accounting.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the monthly accounting of invoices, accruals, provisions, payments and bank processing of business transactions in compliance with IFRS.
- Monitor system rates captured in the billing process and make sure that they are in agreement with the existing contracts and tariff rates through ad-hoc check and invoice audits.
- Perform month-end closing procedures and reconciliation in consultation with teams, ensure books are closed as per agreed timelines and all of the closing activities are completed by respective teams accurately.
- Ensure a systematic and timely follow up and resolution of all pending issues. To escalate matters if unresolved within the agreed timelines.
- Ensure all reference documents are kept up to date and filled properly with indexing (where applicable)
- Liaise with purchases and stores to resolve issues related to credit/ debit notes.
- Ensure all payments are processed in compliance with internal policies, procedures and approvals.
- Participate in all audit activities and comply with auditor requests during the audit by ensuring all documents are provided and queries attended in a timely manner.
- Perform other department duties related to his/ her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

**About you**

Essential
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
- A minimum of 3 years of job-related experience
- Proficiency using MS office tools (Excel, PPT and word)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred
- Airline industry Experience within airport, ground handling, duty free and catering
- Experience using ERP System
- Significant experience in presenting and communicating to key business owners and seniors.
