Sales Director

The **Sales Director** will oversee all of MEEZA’s sales aspects, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. The primary functions of this job include new business acquisition, revenue generation, revenue retention, and opening of new accounts. The **Sales Director** owns the sales plan and its execution, including accountability for revenue attainment and managing targets to forecast.
In addition, the **Sales** **Director **shall:
- Develop the Sales Strategy based on market research and competitor analysis
- Prepare the Sales Organisational Chart
- Restructure and align each member of the sales team to the sales strategies to generate revenue based on the strategic objectives
- Mentor and supervise the sales account managers and lead them to expand MEEZA clients
- Develop short and long-term sales plans in support of organisational strategy and objectives
- Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices
- Recommend sales strategies for improvement identifying and generating leads; managing prospect pipeline from interest (establishing relationship), development (understanding need), and close; achieving sales goals
- Assist in the creation and development of new products and bringing them to market
- Coordinate with Marketing and Operations functions to ensure efficient operations and achieve organizational objectives
- Manage the RFP/RFQ process with Bid team
- Build, develop and manage a sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives
- Establish strong relationships with key influence centers within the industry
- Act as business and sales spokesperson as appropriate in customer, industry, and business environments
- Develop Go to Market on local and regional projects and markets which show the most potential. Expand the company’s revenue base through the development of large long-term projects
- Be responsible for regional sales to expand client base through sales calls, advertising, brochures, and conferences. Stay in touch with clients key personnel changes and key company mergers
- Monitor the competition and look for openings to market our products when the opportunity presents itself
- Create a monthly/quarterly written local/regional sales report to be supplied to the Chief Commercial Officer that summarizes the sales activities, upcoming opportunities, and key projects captured during the quarter
- Establish and manage regional sales budget
- Be responsible for monthly sales forecasts
- Assist with proposal writing
- Maintain communications with clients to ensure the clients expectations are being met, relay results and additional requirements to the appropriate operations manager
- Manage sales opportunities electronic database. Update all client contacts and client-related information in the master contacts system
**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:
- University Degree in Business, Computer Science/Engineering, IT, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience, with at least 50% of this time spent solving significant business enterprise problems
- Expert knowledge and understanding of the IT Services industry
- International experience and/or the Middle East
- Proven leadership skills with an ability to influence without authority
- Proven ability to build a strong team without compromise
- Honed full-cycle technical project management and product management skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a belief in openness and transparency
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Strong dedication and commitment to personal excellence
- Ability to think and contribute at the strategic level and challenge others accordingly
- Experience taking IT Services and products to market and growing the product revenue year over year
- Broad knowledge of system architectures, development methodologies, and solutions architecture design
- Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for an organization’s vision, and motivates, leads, and empowers others to achieve organizational goals
- Minimum 5 years of successful experience managing large interdisciplinary teams and complex projects
- Demonstrates an intellectual and professional leadership style that supports the attainment of respect and credibility by others
- Ability to travel internationally (up to 25%)
- Motivation necessary for achieving or surpassing objectives; passion for improving the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Inspires and leads others towards high levels of performance
- The ability to read, understand and interpret financial statements is a plus. Budgeting experience is a must
- Knowledge, understanding, and ability to converse with IT professionals on services and solutions are a must. Knowledge of customer legal, regulatory, and standards environment, including ISO 17799, 20000, 27001 is a plus
