The **Quality Control (QC) Manager** is responsible for ensuring that all ready-mix concrete produced meets the required quality standards as per **Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), and other applicable local and international standards**. This role involves overseeing **quality assurance processes, laboratory testing, raw material verification, and compliance with Qatar’s regulatory authorities**, **Mix design** ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

**Quality Control & Compliance**
- Establish, implement, and maintain **quality control procedures** in line with **QCS, other related standards and ISO 9001** standards.
- Conduct **raw material inspections** (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures) to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Oversee **concrete mix design development** and ensure proper proportioning of materials to achieve desired strength and durability.
- Monitor and control the **batching plant operations under the supervision of Production manager**, ensuring accurate weighing, mixing, and consistency in production.
- Conduct and supervise **on-site and laboratory testing**, including **slump tests, air content, compressive strength, and durability tests**.
- Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated according to industry standards.
- Investigate **non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality issues**, implementing **corrective and preventive actions** to maintain high product quality.

**Regulatory Compliance & Certification**
- Ensure full compliance with **Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology (QGOSM), and other relevant authorities**.
- Maintain **ISO 9001 certification** and other applicable quality management certifications.
- Liaise with **government agencies, consultants, and project teams** to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Keep up to date with changes in **Qatari construction regulations, material specifications, and industry best practices**.

**Process Improvement & Optimization**
- Continuously review and improve **production processes** to enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Implement and oversee **preventive maintenance programs** for lab and testing equipment.
- Work closely with **operations, production, and logistics (Pump and Mixures, placing boom etc) teams** to identify and resolve quality-related challenges.
- Utilize **data analysis and quality metrics** to track performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

**Team Leadership & Training**
- Lead, train, and supervise the **QC team, including lab technicians, field inspectors, and plant personnel**.
- Conduct regular training sessions on **concrete technology, testing procedures, and quality control measures**.
- Foster a **culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement** within the organization.

**Reporting & Documentation**
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive **quality control records, lab reports, and compliance documentation**.
- Generate and submit **quality performance reports** to senior management.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of **batching records, test results, material approvals, and audits** for easy retrieval and regulatory inspections.
- Prepares and reviews reports including any adhoc reports.

**Others**
- Collaborate with **clients, consultants, and project managers** to ensure all project-specific quality requirements are met.
- Coordinate with **suppliers and procurement teams** to verify the quality of incoming raw materials.
- Participate in **pre-qualification processes and technical meetings** with contractors and consultants.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Proficiency in batching plant automation systems and laboratory testing equipment.
- Strong **analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills**.
- Excellent **communication and report-writing skills** in **English (Arabic is an advantage)**:

- **Minimum 5-10 years** of experience in **quality control/quality assurance within the ready-mix concrete industry** in Qatar or the GCC.
- **Bachelor’s degree** in **Civil Engineering, Material Science, or a related field**.
