Site Engineer

**Job Title**: Site Engineer (Civil)
**Reporting To**: Operation Manager

**Detailed Job Description**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Site Supervision & Management**: Oversee daily site operations, ensuring all construction activities are carried out according to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards. Monitor the work of contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the construction plan.
- **Quality Control & Assurance**: Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and project specifications. Conduct regular inspections and maintain detailed records of work performed. Report any discrepancies to the Project Manager for corrective action.
- **Project Coordination**: Liaise between various stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients, to ensure the smooth flow of information and materials. Assist in the management of sub-contractors to ensure timely completion of work according to contract specifications.
- **Progress Monitoring**: Track and report on the progress of construction activities. Assist in the preparation of progress reports and highlight any potential issues related to project delays or budget constraints.
- **Material Management**: Ensure that materials required for the project are delivered on-site in a timely manner. Verify quantities and quality of materials and ensure proper storage at the construction site.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**: Ensure that all site activities are conducted following health and safety regulations. Implement safety protocols and carry out regular safety audits to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- **Documentation & Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including daily reports, material consumption logs, and site inspections. Ensure all project documentation is up to date and properly filed.
- **Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution**: Address any issues that arise during construction and propose solutions to minimize delays or disruptions to the project timeline.
- **Collaboration with Design and Engineering Teams**: Work closely with the design and engineering teams to resolve any technical issues that arise during construction. Provide feedback to ensure the design is implemented efficiently and effectively on site.

- KPI: Ensure all milestones are met on time and project timelines are adhered to.
- Objective: Deliver projects within the allocated time frames, minimizing delays.
- **Quality of Work**:

- KPI: Maintain high standards of quality and ensure all work meets the required specifications.
- Objective: Achieve zero non-compliance or quality-related issues during site inspections.

- KPI: Maintain a safe working environment with zero major safety incidents.
- Objective: Enforce strict adherence to safety standards to prevent workplace accidents.
- **Cost Control**:

- KPI: Control material waste and project costs by adhering to the budget and project scope.
- Objective: Assist in minimizing project costs and avoid overspending.
- **Site Efficiency**:

- KPI: Ensure efficient coordination of site activities and resources.
- Objective: Optimize site processes to ensure smooth project flow with mínimal downtime.

**Job Qualification, Knowledge, and Skill Set**:

- **Minimum Experience**: 4 years of experience as a Site Engineer in the civil construction field with hands-on experience in managing and supervising construction sites.
- **Location Requirement**: Must be locally available in Qatar with valid Qatari work authorization.
- **Educational Qualifications**: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
- **Skills & Expertise**:

- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management techniques.
- Familiarity with Qatari construction regulations, standards, and safety codes.
- Experience with civil engineering software and project management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage teams effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- **Certifications**:

- Relevant certifications in construction safety (e.g., OSHA) or project management certifications are a plus.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in using engineering software and tools like AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera.
- Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems related to construction projects.
- **Language Skills**:

- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
