Bid Lead

Position Summary:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Tender Management & Coordination**:

- Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards.
- Review tender documents and develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs, specifications, and evaluation criteria.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., technical, legal, finance, and operations) to gather required information and ensure that all proposal aspects are addressed effectively.

**Bid Strategy & Proposal Development**:

- Develop bid strategies that are aligned with the company’s objectives and market positioning.
- Lead the creation of high-quality, compelling proposals, ensuring they are tailored to meet specific client needs and highlight the company’s strengths.
- Ensure the bid is competitive in terms of pricing, deliverables, and overall value proposition.

**Process & Compliance Management**:

- Establish and enforce clear processes for the efficient and compliant management of tendering and bidding activities.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to internal policies, procurement regulations, and deadlines.
- Manage risk identification and mitigation strategies in the bid process.

**Team Leadership & Collaboration**:

- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of bid coordinators and other support staff in the preparation of bid documents.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with corporate goals, identify potential opportunities, and gather key inputs for strategic bids.
- Provide updates and progress reports on the status of ongoing bids to management and key stakeholders.

**Client & Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Engage with clients and key stakeholders during the bid process to clarify requirements, address questions, and build strong relationships.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and presentations as needed.

**Post-Submission & Review**:

- Assist in post-submission activities, including responding to clarifications and supporting the negotiation process.
- Conduct post-bid reviews and debriefs to identify areas of improvement and continuously optimize bidding processes.

**Market Research & Continuous Improvement**:

- Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and client preferences to ensure that bids remain competitive and relevant.
- Continuously improve bid management processes by implementing best practices and lessons learned from past projects.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Experience: Minimum of 08 years in bid management, tendering, or a related field.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of bidding procedures, industry standards, and procurement processes.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading a team, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Skills: Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant certifications (e.g., APMP) are a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with tender management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM tools.
