Senior Civil/Structural Engineer (Onshore) Qatar PermanentPetroplan are currently supporting the state owned operating company in Qatar for a degree qualified Senior Civil/Structural Engineer. This person should hold 12 years' experience within Onshore Marine Engineering/Oil & Gas projects.Primary Purpose of the Job Provide technical design and engineering services in Civil/Structural Engineering for all assigned Onshore Marine Engineering projects. Achieving the technical quality of work in accordance with procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost and HSE.Principal Accountabilities

Responsible for leading and coordinating Projects Teams formed to provide complete projects management services to execute assigned projects in onshore areas from inception to completion and hand over.
Prepare or review and implement project plans such as Project Execution, Risk Management, Assurance, Quality, HSE interface etc.
Manage and coordinate a team of multi discipline Engineers to achieve a safe and cost effective design through timely resolution of technical and engineering issues.
Participate in the preparation of tender packages, tendering process, evaluation of tenders and submissions with appropriate recommendations to relevant tender Committees.
Generate and maintain risk registers by updating these in order to ensure that risks are managed and mitigated.
Interface closely with end user and other stakeholders including Government and Statutory authorities and other third party entities such as JVs.
Participate in the processing and resolution and Variations and Contractor claims.
Participate and provides input to support project schedule, project cost, budget, contract administration, progress reporting, change management and gate approval activities.
Participate in the review and development of QP procedures and guidelines as and when assigned.
Assist and mentor Qatari Engineers with their assigned development program and supervise their progress.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience

**B.Sc./B Eng. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering**: Higher degree post graduate qualification would be advantageous.
Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer status or equivalent.
12 years' experience within offshore Oil & Gas projects.
Ability to identify & utilise relevant engineering standards and codes related to Civil/Structural Engineering (Onshore Marine).
Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.

**Variable depending on role**:
Experience managing and executing brownfield projects on Oil and Gas projects. Experience in Pipeline and downstream tankages projects.
