**PURPOSE**: Oversee the daily operations, quality assurance, and compliance of the wastewater treatment plant laboratory. The role ensures accurate sampling, testing, and analysis of influent, effluent, sludge, and process streams to support optimal plant performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The coordinator will act as the main liaison between laboratory staff, plant operations, and external regulatory bodies. **ROLES & RESPOSIBILITIES**: - Supervise and coordinate all laboratory activities related to wastewater, sludge, and by-product analysis. - Ensure laboratory testing complies with local regulations and international environmental standards and regulations. - Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sampling, analysis, calibration, and reporting. - Perform advanced chemical, biological, and microbiological analyses, ensuring data accuracy and validity. - Manage laboratory resources, including chemicals, reagents, consumables, instruments, and safety equipment. - Oversee calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. - Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) programs and/or equivalent laboratory standards. - Prepare, review, and submit technical reports and compliance documentation to regulators and plant management. - Provide training and technical support to laboratory technicians and operations staff. - Coordinate with plant O&M teams to provide analytical insights for process optimization. - Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements within the laboratory. - Carry out other tasks assigned. **EXPERIENCE**: - Minimum of 5 years experience in the same field. **COMPETENCIES**: - Strong knowledge of protocols and proficiency in data validation and interpretation. - Proficient in laboratory management and knowledgeable of plant equipment. - Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a multi-disciplinary laboratory team. - Advanced knowledge of wastewater laboratory methods and treatment plant processes. - Strong understanding of environmental laws, standards, and reporting protocols. - Capable of troubleshooting lab issues and developing process improvement solutions. - Effective at reporting technical results and coordinating across departments. - Attention to detail. **EDUCATION**: - Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related field. **OTHERS**:UPDA Certification/To obtain this year **LANGUAGE**:English (written and verbal communication) Pay: From QAR1.00 per month Application Question(s): - Your current location: - Are you willing to relocate to Qatar? - Joining Period: - Can you obtain "NOC"/transfer approval?
