Job Title**:Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef**

**Job Summary**: The Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the pastry and bakery department, ensuring the highest quality and presentation of all pastry and baked goods. This role requires a deep understanding of classic and contemporary European and French pastry techniques, exceptional creativity, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create and develop innovative and seasonal pastry and bakery menus, showcasing classic European and French techniques with a modern twist. Continuously research and explore new trends and ingredients.
- Oversee the production of all pastry and baked goods, ensuring consistent quality, flavor, and presentation. Maintain strict adherence to recipes, portion control, and food safety standards.
- Lead, mentor, and train the pastry and bakery team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Schedule staff, delegate tasks, and conduct performance reviews.
- Manage inventory levels, minimize waste, and control food costs within budgetary guidelines. Work closely with purchasing to source high-quality ingredients.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and sanitation of all pastry and bakery equipment. Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute pastry and bakery items for special events, banquets, and catering functions.
- Develop and document standardized recipes for all pastry and bakery items, ensuring consistency and ease of training.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and other culinary leaders to ensure seamless integration of pastry and bakery offerings with the overall dining experience.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current trends in the pastry and baking industry, particularly in European and French styles.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar leadership role in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or bakery with a strong focus on European and French pastry.
- Extensive knowledge of classic and contemporary European and French pastry techniques, including but not limited to: viennoiserie, patisserie, bread making, chocolate work, and sugar artistry.
- Strong understanding of pastry and bakery ingredients, equipment, and processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional pastry and baked goods.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
