International Buyer

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supplier Management & Sourcing**:

- Identify and evaluate international suppliers and manufacturers for a range of food and beverage products.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with international vendors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential global suppliers to ensure consistent supply and high-quality standards.
- **Market Research & Trend Analysis**:

- Stay informed about global food and beverage trends, industry innovations, and changes in international regulations.
- Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and ensure the company remains competitive in sourcing international products.
- **Contract & Negotiation Management**:

- Negotiate and finalize purchase contracts and agreements with international suppliers.
- Ensure all agreements align with company objectives, quality standards, and cost-efficiency.
- **Quality Control & Compliance**:

- Ensure that all sourced products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety certifications, including compliance with import/export laws.
- Monitor international shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
- **Cost Control & Budgeting**:

- Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize purchasing while maintaining product quality.
- Monitor and report on purchasing expenditure, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
- **Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination**:

- Collaborate with the logistics and supply chain teams to manage the timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Address any issues related to customs clearance, import/export documentation, and international shipping logistics.
- **Risk Management**:

- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, geopolitical factors, and currency fluctuations.
- Ensure contingency plans are in place for potential supply disruptions or price volatility.
- **Vendor Performance Management**:

- Evaluate supplier performance regularly based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
- Work with suppliers to resolve any performance issues, ensuring optimal partnership outcomes.
- **Collaboration with Internal Teams**:

- Work closely with marketing, product development, and sales teams to understand their product needs and procurement requirements.
- Support the creation of new product lines and ensure a seamless flow of materials for production.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree or a recognized diploma in business administration, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in international procurement or buying, within the food and beverages sector.
- Experience in sourcing from multiple countries, understanding global trade practices, and dealing with international regulations.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- **Skills**:

- Strong understanding of global food and beverage trends and market dynamics.
- Well
- versed with international suppliers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- **Languages**: Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Arabic) is an advantage.

**Certifications** (preferred): Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) or food safety (e.g., HACCP) are a plus.

Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Doha: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
