**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- The Site Engineer (Drainage/Utilities) will assist the Senior Resident Engineer and the Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of the day-to-day activities on the project. The Site Engineer will participate in review and approval of all submittals by the contractors and involves in the quality control and quality assurance. Will lead the work inspectors to ensure that all construction activities have been perform as per the contract and specifications.
- Under the general supervision, performs routine inspection monitoring tasks to confirm if proper construction supervision is being performed by others. Inspects various facets of work on the construction site and performs continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Document non-conformance and may participate in determining appropriate resolution.
- Monitors and coordinates all contractors' activities for assigned area.
- Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
- Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site specific safety procedures and industry standards.
- Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
- Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current re vision level and correct technical execution of the work.
- Develops discipline construction schedules and monitors progress.
- Provides schedule and progress appraisal report to the Resident Engineer.
- Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
- Ensures that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
- Organizes the accumulation of assigned discipline data for the final project turnover and report.
- Initiates and maintains records, back charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Min of 10 postgraduate years of experience and a min. of 7 years of similar work experience on large infrastructure projects including drainage and utilities works.
- Regional experience is preferred.
- MME (Qatar) registration is mandatory.
- Qualified professional who can manage and coordinate specialized activity, discipline or team of moderate size and complexity.
- Leads in the formulation of advanced technical concepts.
- Provides specialist services in support of project requirements.
