Key Accountabilities:
Role Purpose: The Senior Strategy & Planning Specialist supports the development of QM’s strategic framework, strategic plan and the detailed annual operating plans, on behalf of the CEO and within the direction set by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. They assist in facilitating the execution of strategy, ensuring that strategic actions are completed at various levels to achieve the desired results.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Develop templates, standard terminology and definitions in support of the strategic framework of QM
- Guide all departments, museums and entities in devising their annual operating plans by developing appropriate templates and toolkits.
- Manage the development of annual business plans, from template creation to distribution, communication and support, with museums, entities and departments and ensure that these align cohesively within QM’s strategic framework and overarching plan.
- Support the Head of Section and Director to develop the QM strategic plan consisting of and long-, medium
- and short-term goals.
- Develop organizational priorities, goals and outcomes and pulling them together under the vision and mission statements of QM.
- Facilitate the execution of strategy, working closely with the PPM section to align strategic planning with strategy implementation, progress monitoring and risk.
- Develop metrics and KPIs for the strategic plan and support the organizational understanding of how to implement these.
- Develop a communication plan for the QM strategic for internal stakeholders.
- Develop strategy workshop and meeting content and presentations, and support in the overall planning and logistics.
- Initiate process improvement systems and support the Compliance and Quality Assurance section in identifying and creating processes and conditions for interdependence, collaboration and execution of the strategic plan.
- Develop research and analytics on a range of topics related to the section and department.
- Develop strategic materials for the Board of Trustees, BMO, and Senior Leadership.
- Support the Head of Section to align Deputies and Senior Management across the strategy development and implementation framework.
Qualifications/Requirements:

- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic thinking and planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including in presentation development, report writing and public speaking.
- Excellent language skills in English and preferably Arabic too.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of Social Sciences including Business Administration and Management, Strategy, Economics.
- A minimum of 6 years relevant experience
