Job Description: Estimator/Designer
- Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and client requirements to define scope of work.
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), including materials, quantities, and cost estimates for fitout, civil, and MEP works.
- Conduct site visits to verify design accuracy and assess actual conditions.
- Create and revise 2D drawings and layouts based on design briefs and site conditions.
- Ensure all drawings meet project standards and comply with local regulations.
- Coordinate with the design team to convert concepts into practical, buildable plans.
- Obtain and analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost competitiveness.
- Support client queries related to budget, materials, and project timelines.
- Identify project risks such as cost fluctuations or delays and include contingencies in estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and architects to align estimates with timelines and goals.
- Track industry cost trends to update estimation strategies and pricing.
- Prepare and submit detailed estimate reports for management approval.
- Perform additional estimation and design tasks as assigned by management.
