Structural Design Engineer

Job Purpose

To support supervision team by reviewing and validating structural designs, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate structural design drawings, calculations, and construction shop drawings.
  • Conduct frequent site visits to inspect actual works and ensure compliance with approved designs and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with site supervision team, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Prepare and issue technical reports, site observation notes, NCRs, and technical clarifications (TQs / RFIs).
  • Monitor and ensure structural quality, code compliance, and alignment with international standards (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocode).
  • Assist in revising or optimizing design modifications due to site conditions or client requirements.
  • Attend technical meetings and support the project manager with design-related decisions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and consultant supervision guidelines.
  • Collaborate with architectural, MEP, and QS teams for integrated design and execution.
  • Provide technical support during inspections, testing, and handover stages.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
  • 5–7 years of experience in structural design and site supervision (consultancy background preferred).
  • Excellent site coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
