Job Title: Commis Chef – pastry

Location: Doha

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports To: shop manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commis Chef to join our team, The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation in central kitchen, maintain kitchen hygiene standards, and contribute to creating high-quality brunch dishes.

This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Crepe , waffle, cake preparation:

  • Assist in the preparing of brunch dishes ( cake,crepe,waffle )- Follow recipes and guidelines.

  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently.

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Assist in mise en place.

Kitchen Operations & Hygiene:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.

  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP).

  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.

  • Dispose of waste as per kitchen protocols.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Work closely with other staff to ensure smooth operations.

  • Communicate any shortages or issues promptly to the manager.

  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant (pastery/café experience preferred).

  • Culinary Knowledge: Basic understanding of pastery items.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long hours and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team Player: Cooperative attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Flexibility: Available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Certification: Food hygiene/safety certification is a plus.
