About Us

Safir Doha Hotel is a well-established 4-star property known for delivering warm hospitality and exceptional dining experiences. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Commis Chefs to join our culinary team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Perform daily mise-en-place and maintain organized workstations.
  • Prepare ingredients, salads, appetizers, and basic hot dishes.
  • Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP).
  • Assist in buffet setup, banquet operations, and À la carte service when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas.
  • Support kitchen operations during peak hours and special events.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as Commis I/II in hotels or restaurants (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Certification

  • Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent (preferred).
  • Food Safety or HACCP training is an advantage.
